How To Set Up the Body Jab - Jamming The Right Hand | Mayweather Style. Tom Yankello of the  @World Class Boxing Channel  gives you a tip on how to set up the body jab in order to set up other punches. This lesson all has to do with timing. Often times a boxer won’t throw the jab for fear of getting hit with the right hand. Tom uses the Mayweather vs DeLaHoya fight as an example as Mayweather used this boxing move against De La Hoya. Oscar is a little more squared off, so he can’t use the Philly shell. Since he is more squared off, he is giving you a better target for the right hand. Floyd would jam his right hand so he knew he wouldn’t have to deal with it and then shoot a jab to the body. This paused Oscar’s offense and stopping his momentum. He also can’t throw a hook because his side is jammed up. This move stops the guy from countering with the right hand and opens him up for other punches. Tom then shows you other punches you can throw off of that move. 0:00 Introduction 0:55 The Mayweather m
