Learn the Washboard 1: Basics

Learn how to play the washboard: I begin with a musical demonstration and then discuss some of the ways people play the washboard around the world. We learn our first basic washboard rhythm, a standard 4/4 folk beat. This rhythm will be the core of everything else we learn moving forward.
