We have a new favorite fortress in Serbia! Yes, Golubac Fortress by the Danube Iron Gate, across from Romania was the best fortress we have seen recently. We loved it! We also visited Lepenski Vir, one of the oldest civilization in Europe, from 9000 years ago! This trip is also easy to do as a day trip from Belgrade.
