With Beetlejuice 2’s release date set for September 6, 2024, the long-awaited sequel to Tim Burton’s 1988 classic horror-comedy Beetlejuice is finally happening. While most details on the upcoming movie are being kept under wraps, it’s been confirmed that some new faces will be joining the original characters in the world of the living and the afterlife, including Jenna Ortega, Justin Theroux, and Willem Dafoe in his first collaboration with Tim Burton. In addition to Beetlejuice 2’s returning actors like Michael Keaton, Winona Ryder, and Catherine O’Hara, the new cast members offer exciting changes for the Tim Burton sequel as they tackle new characters. Ortega is confirmed to be playing Lydia Deetz’s daughter, Dafoe’s character is reportedly an afterlife law enforcement officer (via The Hollywood Reporter), and Theroux’s role remains undisclosed.
