Hi everyone! I had this video in my mind for a while, and even if as I said the time I can spend on the channel has dramatically reduced I was so happy to finally work on it that I completed it in less than a day. The Battle of Nagashino that was fought on 1575, June 28th, has somehow became a major turning point in the history of warfare. Because even if the Western World still had to reach the same goal, that was the battle when the “three-stage shooting“ happened for the first time in history. Oda Nobunaga managed to claim a decisive victory over the powerful Takeda Clan completely wiping away its infamous cavalry with a smart use of his arquebusiers who, remaining hidden behind some palisades, fired incessantly at the charging Takeda knights, in a multi-line formation in which one row fired while the others reloaded.
