Outcast: Original (1999) vs Remake (2017) Compared

I compare the original Outcast from 1999 with the remake Outcast: Second Contact from 2017. The remake has much better graphics (no more blocky voxel graphics which were nice back then), but the sound is worse, at least in my opinion. The music is still epic. But the original cutscenes are much better. The atmosphere of Outcast at that time was unique and I was rarely so fascinated by a game world. It was also one of the first Open World games in 3D. At that time it was really a great game, nowadays you are used to much more detailed game worlds, where you can do much more, for example in role-playing games like Skyrim, in action adventures like Assassin’s Creed etc.. But for me the game remains subjectively one of the best games of its time.
