El Salvador In Danger! Tropical Storm Pilar Causes Heavy Rain, Flash Floods Submerge Houses & Cars As Typhoon Pilar follows a highly intricate path and unleashes torrential rains and fierce winds, it is causing casualties that have prompted multiple countries to issue high-level warnings for this storm and potential flooding natural disasters. Coincidentally, Pilar is hitting Central America on the 25th anniversary of Hurricane Mitch, one of the most devastating Atlantic natural disasters ever recorded, second only to the catastrophic Great Hurricane of 1780. Sweeping across Central America on the night of October 31st, Typhoon Pilar brought heavy rainfall and robust winds along the Pacific coast. Despite not making direct landfall in El Salvador, its sustained winds of 80 km/h led to two reported deaths and one missing 18-year-old. Pilar could dump 5 to 10 inches of rain over parts of Central America from southern El Salvador to northern Costa Rica through November 4th, resulting in severe flooding natural disasters. El Salvador currently has in effect the highest level red flood warning for potential natural disasters. On November 1st, Nicaragua also issued a nationwide yellow flood warning as some areas received a deluge of 120 mm of rain. In Tegucigalpa, the capital of Honduras, streets transformed into raging rivers from the torrential downpour. The aftermath of Pilar may be even more catastrophic natural disasters if proper precautions are not taken. ► Check out some other videos! • Previous Episode: Watch our “Scary Natural Disasters in Arabs!
