Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy (1809 - 1847): WARUM TOBEN DIE HEIDEN Mendelssohn composed this great piece in 1843 for the Cathedral Choir in Berlin. It is scored for double chorus and solo voices. The concluding part ’Ehre sei dem Vater...’ (starts at 06:12) is particular beautiful, I think. The current recording was made in May 1984.
