Rhythm Of A City - Reel 2 (1950-1959)

Reel 2. Children play in the street with a football then find themselves in a church. A clergyman is collecting hymnbooks. The children look around. Shots of the religious icons. Marbles are dropped on the floor - the children pick them up. Military parade with musicians on horseback. Man in a boat fishes with a net. A child and the couple watch fishing from a bridge. Fishermen mend their nets. A man paints the fisherman who combs his hair and his moustache. Child looks at the painting. Boat leaves the dockside. Young boys fish off the quay side. Freight train. Child watches seagulls. Food wrapper floats in the water. Lights go on as the sun goes down. Sailor with tattooed arms talks to young boy. A blind man has dropped his stick a boy helps him to find it. Blind man plays the violin. Lights reflected on the water. No commentary - music throughout. See Reel 1.
