In this video I argue against US policy of subverting Putin’s Russia. Professor Kotkin proposed to undermine Putin’s regime, as he put it by all means available, because he claimed it was an illiberal regime. Here is the link to his interview I argue here that this policy is suicidal for the US, that escalation of the war in Ukraine will lead to the defeat of NATO, and a possible nuclear war, that promoting nationalist forces in Russia will bring to power forces in Russia that will be much more virulently hostile to the West than President Putin. And finally the US claim to be a liberal democracy teacching Russia how to behave sounds like an arrogant presumption.
