Music From the Seikilos Epitaph

The oldest complete musical composition, from a Greek epitaph near Ephesus circa 100 AD. Ὅσον ζῇς φαίνου, μηδὲν ὅλως σὺ λυποῦ, πρὸς ὀλίγον ἐστὶ τὸ ζῆν, τὸ τέλος ὁ xρόνος ἀπαιτεῖ’ “While you live, shine, have no grief at all, life exists only for a short while, and time demands its toll.“ This version is sung in Koine Greek by Marcus Harvey
