The Chinese People’s Liberation Army (PLA) Air Force on Sunday said it has conducted island patrols to safeguard national sovereignty and territorial integrity, adding China’s sovereignty and rights and interests over the South China Sea cannot be violated. Shen Jinke, spokesperson for the PLA Air Force, said at a press briefing in Beijing that it’s the sacred mission of the PLA Air Force to safeguard the territory.
