Solar Eruption and CME (11/9/2023) -

An eruption on the Sun near center disk was observed beginning after 10:00 UTC (Nov 9, 2023). The long duration event only registered as a low level C-Class flare, however coronal dimming was evident, along with a relatively faint, full halo coronal mass ejection (CME). A CME passage past Earth is predicted for sometime on November 11th or into the 12th. Another round of geomagnetic storming may be possible. Stay tuned to for the latest updates.
