Wettbewerbsbeiträge kamen unter anderem aus USA, Kanada, Deutschland, Israel, Schweiz, Ukraine, Russland, Italien, Estland, Griechenland, Kroatien, England, Belarus, Argentinien, Kolumbien, Finnland, Libanon, Schweden, Brasilien, Hongkong, Südafrika, Nairobi, Spanien, Australien, Japan und Südkorea. Eine zehnköpfige internationale Jury hat folgende Preisträger gekürt: 1. Preise: David Jason Snow (USA), Jayme Vognoli Rodrigues de Morae (Brasililen) 2. Preise: Gilad Hochmann (Deutschland), Emilio Teubal (USA), David Lipten (USA) 3. Preise: Ashley Hoyer (USA), Barnaby Hollington (Südkorea), Ivan Bozicevic (Kroatien), James Kachulis (USA) Sonderpreise gehen an Sten Aamer (Estland, für die beste Audioaufnahme) und Jonas Kerda (Deutschland, Komponist unter 18 Jahren). Sonderpreis des Vereins Humperdinckfreunde Siegburg e. V. Michael Lyndee (Deutschland) Mandolin composition competition with record international participation 291 works by 161 composers from all over the world were submitted to the 2023 composition competition jointly organized by the music publisher Edition 49 and the Siegburger Musikwerkstatt, which was dedicated to the instrument of the year, the mandolin. The special prize of the Humperdinckfreunde Siegburg e. V. association goes to Michael Lyndee (Germany).
