Acorn Fairy House Cardboard, Glass Jar, Air Dry Clay Craft Idea - DIY

This acorn fairy house made of cardboard, jar and air dry clay could be the first one built horizontally. Most of the time you’ll see vertical acorn house with its cap as the roof. The fairy who lives here probably is from Queensland (one of the states in Australia) which has humid and hot weather. Some of the houses there built with raised floor like this one. Anyway, the builder is very happy building this unique fairy house. Watch the video till the end and you’ll see fairy’s fruit ville where the builder has built other fruit houses like melon and lemon. The tomato house is hiding somewhere because that is one of fairy’s banks and almost full with coins :) FYI, acorn is the fruit of oak tree. It can grow oak tree baby. Materials needed: - Glass jar (any size) - Hard cardboard and thinner cardboard - Hot glue and hot glue gun - Water - Acrylic paints (I use sap green, light green, burnt sienna, burnt umber, yellow, yellow ochre, dark red, cream, white and black) - Air dry clay: homemade air dry paper clay If you just started with clay craft you may confuse a little with the term air dry clay. Please don’t. Make it simple. To me, all clay that dry by itself without baking is air dry clay. It includes any kind of modelling clay, soft clay and paper clay.
