Kicked Up Root Beer Float | Emeril Lagasse

Emeril’s root beer float is definitely not your grandmother’s root beer float! He kicks up his “fun drink meets dessert” version with banana, bourbon, hot fudge sauce, whipped cream, shaved chocolate, and of course, bubbly root beer for float perfection. KICKED UP ROOT BEER FLOAT SERVES 1 1 banana, peeled and cut in half lengthwise 2 scoops vanilla ice cream 2 to 3 tablespoons hot fudge or chocolate sauce 2 tablespoons bourbon (optional) 1 (12-ounce) bottle root beer Whipped cream, for garnish Confectioners’ sugar, for garnish Chocolate shavings, for garnish In a large, tall glass, arrange banana halves on each side. Add ice cream, hot fudge sauce, bourbon, and root beer to fill. Garnish with whipped cream, confectioners’ sugar, and chocolate shavings on top. Serve immediately.
