Caution with aggressive plants: Getting rid of my papyrus plant (umbrella papyrus)

I get rid of my papyrus plant (umbrella papyrus). Caution with aggressive plants I still have a papyrus in another part of the garden but you must know the details first. There are 600 varieties of the papyrus plant. Cyperus Alternifolius, commonly the Umbrella Papyrus or Umbrella Sedge is the one that grows in my coastal region. The umbrella papyrus sedge does really well in my humid, coastal, subtropical climate. I’ve had it in the garden for 3 years now. I love it, and it adds so much fun to the garden. I must warn you about the pros and cons of having this plant in your landscape before you commit to taking care of it. You may alternatively be looking to grow it in a pond (which is where it loves it the most) or in a pot (a great idea for easier care). I think this cyperus alternifolius adds an instant tropical vibe to my garden. People always comment how beautiful it is. Butttttt .... BEWARE...
