Level 1 Trauma Care at CHOP: The First Minutes (2 of 7)

At The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, a multidisciplinary team of surgeons, emergency physicians and nurses work collaboratively to respond to trauma. Other specialties, such as radiology, are available immediately. In addition, families play an integral part in the child’s care during a trauma. They are present in the resuscitation room to comfort their child and to provide the medical team with information to help care for their child.
