A Soviet vessel was carrying a cargo of the opium for pharmacological industry. The present-day pirates, going after a rich loot, had treacherously captured the ship and its crew. Unwilling to leave any witnesses of their armed assault, the pirates tried to eliminate the whole crew. A fierce mid-ocean fight ensued between a handful of Soviet sailors and the modern-day bandits that knew no mercy. The well-known karate specialists participated in the shooting. Judging by box-office figures, at the time of its release the film had been viewed by every third moviegoer. -------------------------- Ein sowjetischer Trockenfrachter hat eine große Menge Opium für die pharmakologische Industrie an Bord. Die modernen Piraten, die hinter der wertvollen Fracht her sind, hatten heimtückisch das Schiff samt Besatzung in Besitz genommen. Die Piraten versuchen die Schiffsbesatzung zu ermorden, um alle Zeugen aus dem Weg zu räumen. In der Hochseeweite kommt es zu einem bitteren Kampf zwischen einer Handvoll sowjetischer Seeleute und den gnadenlosen Banditen. -------------------------- В основе этого приключенческого фильма - реальная история. Советский сухогрузный корабль перевозил большой груз опиума для фармакологической промышленности. Современные пираты, охотившиеся за ценным грузом, коварством завладели кораблем и экипажем. Чтобы не осталось свидетелей этого разбойного нападения, пираты попытались уничтожить всю команду корабля. В океанских просторах разыгралась напряженная борьба между горсткой советских моряков и современными разбойниками, не знающими пощады. В фильме заняты известные мастера каратэ. Если судить по кассовым показателям, то фильм в свое время посмотрел каждый третий советский зритель.
