“I fear that we will leave the strip humiliated and with our tail between our legs.” Former Israeli army general Dan Harel said on Israeli Channel 12 that the “achievements” of the Israeli forces in Gaza could go to waste. Harel said he believes the Israeli government will lose the war due to it being incapable of making decisions and emphasised that Hamas is “restoring” itself in neighbourhoods the army had once secured.
