Here Nod and his merry band of men find themselves once again becalmed with the UK record buying public as they plug their latest release ’That’s What Friends Are For’ on kids TV prime time show ’The Krankies’ in August of 1987 (BBC 1 29/08/1987) Hardly surprising then that failed to ignite the 10 year olds into a pocket money spending frenzy around the country and once again Slade could put their name to yet another single that sank without a trace.
