Rain batters Venice Beach as ’Pineapple Express’ hits West Coast

“Pineapple Express”, the storm that originated near Hawai’i in the tropical Pacific slammed into the US West Coast on Wednesday 31 January. The storm caused flooding and excessive rainfall in Venice Beach, as well as heavy mountain snow, gusty winds and Rockslides in northern California.
