On September 26, 2000, the Greek ferry “Express Samina” was sailing through the Aegean Sea, heading for the island of Paros but something went terribly wrong. The Greek ferry crashes into two enormous rocks and within minutes, the boat sinks beneath the waves. There weren’t enough life jackets to go around and passengers are thrown into the sea. They must cling to debris and nearby rocks until local fishing boats pull them to safety. How had the ship crashed into such an obvious hazard?
