The trade of a lifetime: Hong Kong’s 99-year-old tinsmith
Born in 1916, in the Shunde district of Guangdong province, Mak Sing-yin was about 18 years old when he followed the path of relatives, who roamed south running away from the Japanese occupation. Mak learned to craft tin for three years in kowloon, before moving to Sai Kung in the early 1950s. Read the article here:
