Khojaly Genocide - 26/02/1992. Today is 26 February, 2022. 30 years have passed since one of the most darkest moments in the modern history of Azerbaijan. This film is a declaration that every Azerbaijani feels a direct emotional link to Khojaly. If Shusha is a cultural center of Azerbaijan, then Khojaly is undoubtedly the Center of National Memory deeply rooted in every Azerbaijani. Remembering the events of Khojaly is an important social glue that keeps the Azerbaijani society unified to avoid the repetition of such tragedies. Now that the Second Karabakh war is over, the Azerbaijani people after 30 years of waiting can use their right to go back to Khojaly. The Azerbaijani people would rather leave this symbol of horror behind, but to have proper closure to this terrible story of pain and despair, there needs to be a return to Khojaly.
