Built in the 1920’s ’Murder House’ in Staffordshire was the site of the brutal murder of Alice Mary Maud Wiltshaw in 1952, her husband Cuthbert came home to find Alice dead in their home. She had been struck with various items before been fatally struck by a fire poker. The motive appeared to be robbery. Leslie ’Terry’ Green was charged with the murder of Alice and was hanged to death a short time later. Interestingly Leslie never confessed to Alice’s murder and actually approached the police himself to offer his help on the case as well as confessing to steeling two of Alice’s rings that he had given to his then girlfriend.
