A monster snowstorm has hit New York state! Cities are buried under snow!

On Tuesday, heavy snow covered parts of northern and western New York state. More than three million people were under snow warnings. The storm continued all night. The snowfall rate exceeded 3 cm per hour. Wind gusts blew at a speed of about 60 km/h. Lake effect snowstorms continued to hit the region, creating dangerous travel conditions and closing schools. Accidents were reported on Highway 90, which runs east-west across the state. Snow from Lake Erie increased in the morning. The heaviest snowfall remained south of Buffalo, which was paralyzed by the snowfall. By 11 am, more than a 30 cm of snow had fallen in towns and villages south of Buffalo. In Hamburg, the police department warned residents to be careful. In Orchard Park, officials said many roads remained snow-covered and filled with abandoned vehicles.
