On March 20th 2015, we were given the task of capturing canine movement for a student project. The amazing dog that we got to motion capture was a Husky called Storm. She was the most patient and forgiving dog, allowing us to to test many marker layouts until we got one that worked very well.
This video shows some of the limited movements that we captured (in our small studio), and retargetting using Motionbuilder, to a very simple dog rig, prepared by Scott Richards.
Huge thanks to Mike Scott and his Mum for bring Storm in for us, and also to James Cooper at Vicon for the help setting up the solving setup in Blade, and also to Crispin Broadhurst at Motus Digital for his advice.
