Motorcycle Race - from Durban to Johannesburg, South Africa - 1920s? Starting line; w/ banner over; spectators crowding round. Bikes start toward camera. Bikes racing away. More shots of the cycles at various points in race. Seems to be out in countryside; w/ tall grass around. Spectators standing on hillside; their cars parked below alongside road. Tracking shot from car going past spectators. Group of white spectators pan MS on black African spectators; wearing European style clothing. (Of course there is segregation of the races). Motorcycle approaching on road; passing; pan right quickly to shot looking opposite direction as cycle heads away. Finish linesman stands waving his arms as the lead cycle comes in.
