The Sudan Crisis: What’s really happening?

Just weeks after a military coup overthrew Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir, the wave of optimism which filled the capital Khartoum has been replaced with bloodshed. At least 118 people were killed, according to the Central Committee of Sudan Doctors , when the ruling military council opened fire on pro-democracy protesters. A total of 188 are believed to have been killed since a military crackdown on June 3rd, with the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF) taking the lead in the violence. Activists
