The last sunny day still maxed out the eight batteries and I added another battery to the solar battery bank. I still think that I will need battery number ten. Well, we got three days of pure rain and the clouds are so thick that I’m not making much. Yesterday I ran the refrigerator for ten hours. Then I plugged it into the outlet again. Today I didn’t use the battery power. The nine batteries went from . that don’t sound like much but I’m quite sure that would have run the refrigerator for ten more hours. After having solar panels for seven years this is the first time that I tried to go off grid. I have shade trees for half of the peak sun hours. I will fix the situation by moving closer to the country setting. When I get another house I will get twice the solar power.
