The Royal Family are passionate defenders of the natural world and the countryside. King Charles is one of the world’s most prominent and influential environmentalists. His Majesty has been an advocate for environmental issues for more than 50 years. In the 1990s the King founded Duchy Originals, which is now the largest organic food and drink brand in the UK. His Majesty’s passion for the natural world and sustainable farming always shines through during his visits, both at home and abroad. That passion appears to have been passed down to his son Prince William, and his daughter-in-law Princess Catherine. When Prince William launched the Earthshot Prize with Sir David Attenborough in 2020 he cited King Charles as one of his influences. His wife, Princess Catherine, also clearly loves the natural world. You can see she feels at home in the great outdoors. She even keeps bees in her garden at home.
