Ludhiana is a old city in Punjab before 1947 there was habitant Hindu & Muslim community. Muslim weaver made woolen clothes and sold to Hindu traders. Hindu Community lived in Purana Bazar, Dal Bazar, Chawal Bazar, Naughara Katra Nauhrian, Thapra Mohalla, Soodan Mohalla etc. There was Kesar Ganj Mandi, Butta Shah Mandi, Namak Mandi, Sarafa Bazar, Pansari Bazar, Kharadian Bazar, Saban Bazar. Hindu populated areas of Purana Bazar there are a number of temples, one of them is Mohan Lal Mandir that was built in the memories of two daughters.
