US carrier sent to Persian Gulf to deter attacks in Middle East

Iran has released footage of the USS Dwight D Eisenhower aircraft carrier in the Strait of Hormuz. It recently navigated into the Persian Gulf to support US missions in the area. “On Nov 26, the Carrier Strike Group Eisenhower (IKECSG) completed a transit of the Strait of Hormuz to enter the waters of the Arabian Gulf as the Strike Group continues to support USCENTCOM missions,” US Central Command said on X. “While in the Arabian Gulf, the IKECSG are patrolling to ensure freedom of navigation in key international waterways while supporting CENTCOM requirements throughout the region.” The aircraft carrier was accompanied by the guided-missile cruiser USS Philippine Sea, guided-missile destroyers USS Gravely and the USS Stethem and the French frigate Languedoc.
