Is Blonde furthering the exploitation of Marilyn Monroe?

Marilyn Monroe is one of the most recognizable people on the planet, despite passing away about 60 years ago. Her relevance has remained because of opportunities to sell her image and profit people who never cared about her as a person. Has that happened once again with the new Andrew Dominik movie, Blonde? I would argue this is the worst way to have “told Marilyn’s story“ in this voyeuristic endeavor of relishing a victim being constantly abused on screen, lingering on pain like it’s enjoying it. I recommended against watching it and I stand by that stance, we’re going to go through Ana De Armas’ performance, the plot and inaccuracies and the many issues with the writer and director, Andrew Dominik. Nothing graphic will be shown of course, I don’t want to do that to any of you, but I will spoil the hell out of this disgusting excuse for a movie for you all so you don’t have to give him any attention.
