Ozzy Live Setting his Guinness World Record - 2014

This is the video of Ozzy setting the “Dog Walking along a Tightrope“ Record. Filmed 1st of Feb 2013 at FAITH by Tom We had been doing this trick since nov 2012 here on you tube. I had done research to see if any dog had done it before, on the Guinness world record website, and also on the web in general. I did find mention of some spitz dogs doing it in circuses around 1900, but I can find no photo images of that, however the camera was widely used to record rare feats in other circuses. so I have to presume it didn’t happen. I couldn’t believe that we were the only human and dog team to have done this, and to be fair I still don’t quite believe it, the Guinness World Record certificate helps though. here is a link to a vid showing the first time Ozzy tried this. Coincidently as I was researching this myself a researcher from Guinness world records contacted me and invited me to apply to set this record, they had clearly seen my vids on you tube. I normally keep away from organizations and big establishments, but I had to go for this one, and oz had already done many crossings of 4 meters on rope and loves the challenge and excitement. Once GWR had accepted my application, I started to work out how I could best make use of the potential publicity that might come. so I asked FAITH animal sanctuary if they would be interested in having their name in the 2014 Guinness World Record Book. Once I showed them how much Ozzy enjoyed doing this trick, they agreed. I chose FAITH because I used to walk dogs there with my daughter, before we got Ozzy ourselves, also I had learnt a lot about dogs just chatting to staff there. As i look at the vid i love seeing how unconcerned Oz is with all the noises and commotion, he just wants to get on with the job, its also noticeable that some how as Ozzy starts all the animals go quiet,as if there is a common hush. i decided to not publicise this untill after the 2014 book came out, so as to maximise publicity for FAITH. nicknozzy-balance@
