’Thousands’ of corrupt officers may be in police, watchdog warns

Hundreds, if not thousands, of police officers who should have failed vetting checks may be serving in England and Wales, a watchdog has warned. A review into the vetting of prospective police officers was commissioned after the murder of Sarah Everard by Wayne Couzens, a serving Met Police officer. It found that some staff had criminal records, some were alleged to have committed serious crimes, some had substantial undischarged debt, and some had relatives linked to organised crime. #skynews #police #metpolice #skynews #politics #labour SUBSCRIBE to our YouTube channel for more videos: Follow us on Twitter: Like us on Facebook: Follow us on Instagram: For more content go to and download our apps: Apple: Android Sky News videos are now available in Spanish here/Los video de Sky News están disponibles en español aquí To enquire about licensing Sky News content, you can find more information here:
