The owlets hatched in April and are now just over a month old. TAWNY OWL CHICKS Tawny owl chicks are renowned for being very adventurous and often leave the nest well before they can actually fly. You’ll notice their flight feathers have not come through. BRANCHING Once tawny owls are out of the nest, they don’t return and tend to spend their days in the surrounding tree canopy hopping from branch to branch. This is known as ’branching
