No title, paperwork reads - At Geneva. Switzerland. M/S as Baron Aloisi of Italy speaks at the conference of the League of Nations asking for time to prepare answers to charge that Italy is the aggressor. M/S of Abyssinia’s (Ethiopia) representative M. Hawariat saying he cannot accept anything that will compromise Abyssinia’s freedom. He finishes and people applaud. M/S of Monsieur Laval of France saying they will stand by the law as not to do so would weaken whole cause of peace. M/S of Anthony Eden speaking, he says the League has two main tasks, one is to avert war by just and peaceful settlement of disputes, and two to stop wars already started.
