India: Extreme flooding causing climate fears - BBC News
Several people have died, and many more are missing after heavy rain caused flooding in India. In the state of Vermont, US, teams are assessing the damage after a storm dumped up to two months worth of rain on the state in a matter of days.
This follows the announcement that earlier this month was the warmest day yet recorded with temperatures averaging over 17C for the first time ever.
Many factors contribute to flooding, but experts say climate change caused by global warming makes extreme rainfall more likely.
There have been severe weather warning placed across Northern India and parts of North America continuing further into July.
