The Jesus Dynasty and Islam: some remarkable parallels

I read from ’The Jesus Dynasty: The Hidden History of Jesus, His Royal Family, and the Birth of Christianity’ pages 287-288, by Dr James D. Tabor. Professor Tabor argues that far from setting himself up as the chosen messiah of a new world religion, Jesus saw himself as a descendant of the royal house of David and head of an apocalyptic movement aimed at establishing a ruling dynasty in Israel. Led by Jesus’ own family, including his brother James, they would lead the Jewish people to political, social and spiritual redemption.
