Amid simmering tensions in the Black Sea, Russia is boosting its naval firepower. Russia’s Yasen-M class submarines are being equipped with Zircon hypersonic missiles. The nuclear-powered multipurpose submarines are already equipped with Kalibr and Oniks cruise missiles and torpedoes. The Russian Navy will also receive five more ships this year.
