Steve Smith’s Jazz Legacy - “Two Bass Hit“ – A Tribute to Andy Fusco

This high-energy 2006 version of the Dizzy Gillespie/John Lewis composition “Two Bass Hit” features Andy Fusco (January 31, 1948-April 5, 2021) on alto sax. We all loved Andy Fusco. On stage his playing was consistently inventive and inspired, off-stage he kept us laughing with his incredible sense of humor. In addition to Andy Fusco on alto, Jazz Legacy had a powerhouse line-up featuring tenor-titan Walt Weiskopf, pianist/orchestrator Mark Soskin and the dynamic groovemeister Baron Browne on bass. - Steve Smith
