Ukraine “Downs 35 Missiles’, Zelensky Hails Bakhmut Defenders, Russia Buying Back Exported Weapons?

Ukraine said that Russian forces fired Kh-101/Kh-555 air-based cruise missiles at several locations on June 6. Kyiv said its air defence systems shot down all the 35 cruise missiles fired by the Russian military. Ukraine said the Russians fired the missiles from the Caspian Sea area with six Tu-95ms strategic bombers. Ukraine’s military said its forces killed over 800 Russian soldiers over the past day alone. Pro-Russian leader Denis Pushilin has said that Ukrainian forces are shelling Bakhmut with the help of drones. Pushilin added that it is not possible to bring any civilian specialists in the city as it continues to be under attack. Russia is “buying back“ military equipment previously shipped to India and Myanmar, Japanese News outlet Nikkei reported. Moscow repurchases parts for tanks and missiles to refit older weapons for use in Ukraine, as per Nikkei.
