Everything you need to know about Ramadan

Ramadan – which is expected to begin on May 6 in the UAE in 2019 – is the ninth month in the Islamic (Hijri) calendar. It is the holiest month for Muslims as it is believed the Quran was revealed to Prophet Mohammed during Ramadan. During this month, Muslims do not consume any food or drinks between fajr and maghrib prayers (at dawn and sunset) – not even water. Watch this video to find out more.
