Sadly, he ends up accidentally drowning her. I thought the scene was pretty compelling and tragic, the monster can’t help but destroy everything he touches. (You can view the original scene here ) Also the original had a lake but I think rivers are cooler and more fun to draw, so... Artistic license I suppose. I also tried to include the poetic style of the original novel, as well as a scenic background inspired by the romantic movement, which Mary Shelley was a part of! Frankenstein is one of my favorite books, and I love the Frankenstein movies as well (especially Bride of Frankenstein) so it was only a matter of time before I paid tribute to this timeless story in some way.
