Restoration of an Old Hunting Knife! Snake Skin Handle??

In this video I restore an old hunting knife. This knife is very unique because it is large but still folds up like a pocket knife. I start with disassembly and then use electrolysis to remove most of the rust. After this I bring the part to the blast cabinet for some sandblasting. Once the blade was free of rust I etched the blade in ferric chloride to darken the color. The blade was then tumbled in some media and stones to produce a beautiful stone washed finish. For the scales I chose to use some cobra snake skin that a subscriber sent me. This was difficult and took a few tries, but eventually I was able to make it work. To stick with the snake theme I forged a cobra shaped guard. Finally I created a leather sheath to hold the knife. With every project I strive to add a creative touch. I hope you guys enjoyed the video, if you do leave a like and a comment. Subscribe if you would like to see more awesome content ;).
