CASTLEVANIA THE CONCERT 2010-02-19

We didn’t have 4K back in 2010 so the whole concert was shot on digital tape, but I did my best to clean up the picture and balance the audio. Special thanks to awesome fan Nevyn for providing the video bootleg for “Wandering Ghosts”, a performance which was considered lost for many years. Huge thanks to everybody who made this event possible (credits are in the video), and especially the amazing audience who shared this musical adventure with us. It was the first (and perhaps last) time that this much power and control over a videogame concert was given to the fans. We wanted to try something new, and we worked like demons for 6 months to make it happen. This was no ordinary concert for us, we wanted to transform the Stockholm Concerthall into Draculas Castle, complete with skeletons, armor knights, bats, tombstones etc, and if you look carefully you can spot some of them in the video (though many were placed in the lobby). And of course having the composer Michiru Yamane there took everything to the next level. I can’t describe the experience of watching her perform her own music, sharing the stage with us. As a die hard fan playing the games all my life, it was beyond my wildest dreams. I have a lot more to say, but enough talk! Just ask me in the comments and I’ll answer your questions.
