His Biggest rival James Stewart taking his place at Yamaha in 2009. Reed had a great year in 2009 as he gave his all trying to defend his Supercross Title. Unfortunately He came up a few points short, but he gave the fans what they wanted to see, Several epic battles with James Stewart. Reed decided to race the 2009 Pro Motocross Championship last minute, what a good decision this was. Chad would dominate the Outdoor championship proving he’s not just a Supercross rider.
