Many years later, Nuka is feeling abandoned and overlooked by his mother and Kiara is living a privileged life in the pride lands, and is about to go on her first outing alone. Nuka starts a fire in the hopes of impressing his mother and Kiara gets caught in the middle of it all. The 2 meet again and are very happy to see each other! A few weeks later Nuka and Kiara get to know each other again and fall in love. Zira and Simba find out about this and are not happy.
